A quick announcement today: we’re raising funds to help our friends in the escalated Covid-19 crisis in India, and you can help!

In partnership with our friend & expert wedding planner, Diwan By Design, we’re raffling off an Instagram Feed post and all proceeds will go toward aid for India as the country struggles through this exceedingly tough stretch of the pandemic.

How to Enter

We’ll get into ‘the whys’ below. But, if you don’t need a lengthy explanation, you can go straight to our Instagram account to donate & participate in our raffle. If you hop over today (Tuesday, May 25, 2021) you’ll find the donation link in our Instagram Stories. Any day for the full week after, you’ll find it saved in our Highlights on the Bridal Musings profile.

Any person who donates to the cause will get an entry into our raffle until midnight PST on Tuesday, June 1. On Wednesday, June 2, we’ll randomly select a winner. The chosen donor will win an Instagram post to be published on our Bridal Musings IG Feed – a $ 500 value in our media kit!

Donors who make their donation through our Instagram Story link will automatically be logged onto our list of raffle entries. But if you prefer to donate the old-fashioned way, you can go straight to the Hemkunt Foundation’s website. You’ll then need to DM us or email us at info@bridalmusings.com with a screenshot receipt of your donation. Feel free to do the same if you just want to double-check that your donation was counted on IG as well.

No amount is too small, every little bit helps!

This promotion is in no way sponsored, administered, or associated with Instagram, Inc.

Who We’re Donating To

All donations will be directed to the Hemkunt Foundation. Our friend Sneh tells us why this foundation is so worthy of our help:

“Being across the globe from people that we feel so deeply connected to, there was no question that we would find a way to help. The Hemkunt Foundation has been aiding communities in India since 2010 – supporting marginalized people through providing disaster relief and access to basic human rights and education. Through their Coronavirus Relief Aid, they have supplied communities with economic assistance as well as rations of food and soap. “

Why We’re Raising Funds

We’ve all suffered our own version of the pandemic for over a year. Watching our friends in India suffer so immensely just as many Americans (and our UK readers, too) are finding solace in lowering death rates & increasing access to vaccines is gut-wrenching.

There are so many foundations & causes that are worthy of our help around the world – pandemic-related and otherwise. We wish we had the means to help all of these fundraisers. But every little bit of help counts, right? Given that so many of our real wedding couples & vendors are of Indian descent, we felt compelled to join this particular cause at this moment.

So, we reached out Sneh Diwan, owner & creative director of Diwan By Design. An expert planner who has planned so many stunning South Asian weddings, she is also Indian herself. Sneh no doubt has a personal pull to contribute aid to India’s Covid-19 crisis and being a friend of ours, we wanted to help her chosen cause.

Other Organizations You Can Help

While we’ll be contributing to the Hemkunt Foundation, Sneh has shared two more organizations you can donate to if you’d like to help India more! Misson Oxygen & Khalsa Aid are both reputable non-profits that are aiding India in this crisis.
