Our love story
Jonathan and I met at a classy café referred to as Tasha’s in Johannesburg, South Africa. Jonathan noticed me arrive with my brother for lunch, and with out making an attempt to sound cliché, he thought to himself “that’s the kind of lady I wish to marry”. He came to visit and launched himself, asking when he may take me out on a date. I replied that I had a boyfriend and that I used to be not .
As a result of Jonathan and I each like to eat out, we encountered one another very often at Tasha’s. One Saturday lunchtime Jonathan was sitting with a bunch of associates having lunch, and I too arrived for lunch. He despatched over an enormous bouquet of flowers to my desk, the place I used to be having lunch with whom he thought on the time was my mum. All of his associates had been watching, however I didn’t flip round to say thanks. What he didn’t know on the time was that I used to be truly sitting with my boyfriend’s mum, who exclaimed, “Does he not know that I’m your future mother-in-law?”. Jonathan fortunately recounts that she clearly was not my future mother-in-law!
Our paths crossed in opposition to at a mutual good friend’s marriage ceremony. After plenty of tequila and much more dancing, we kissed – and the remainder is historical past.
Jonathan proposed on a hilltop in Botswana, overlooking the plains. In opposition to a backdrop of essentially the most magnificent sundown and our households watching on – I mentioned sure.
